We saw many Pelicans at our first stop in Florida! :)

We had a gorgeous view from our hotel. We were able to catch one sunrise (sleep is a value of us Bushys...). The video shows our view of the Atlantic from Deerfield Beach.

Deerfield Beach gave us the REAL feel of the ocean. The salt, huge waves, the shells, the surfing, and all the people (old and young) that loved the sun added to our experience (as well as the Rip Current and Man of War -jellyfish- warnings!).

One of the best events, which we planned around and looked forward to daily, was the unbelievable sunsets. No words can explain the beauty and awesomeness of it all! This was taken from a restaurant on the ocean.

We were able to have some big thrills on the trip as well... we actually were able to see five alligators in the wild! YIKES! In the Everglades! For those of you who know me... you know how much I love swampy areas... not! It was actually very beautiful in a primitive way. The Captain of the Airboat was very informative and humorous. He actually called a couple of the alligators out of the weeds to come to us (like an alligator whisperer!! eek!). They never feed them or train them so it was truly amazing. The videos are of Big Mama and Bubba Gump.

We spent several hours at Theater by the Sea where we were able to learn a lot about our now favorite sea creatures. We went to a Dolphin show, Parrot show, and a Sea Lion show. We also learned about many other sea creatures, including sea turtles and the BARRACUDA!! The park is a rescue preserve for animals so it was especially meaningful to us.
